Campfire Big Lamp
At A Glance:
Aside from the Paper Table, the Big Lamp is probably the most commented upon part of the series. And that's because the name of the product truly fits, and surprises. The Big Lamp is a floor lamp set upon a regulation-size pole. However at the top of the pole there is a right angle, an overhang that extends out several feet and supports a very large, circular, muted lamp shade. Inside is a simple 100 watt bulb that can be changed as easily as any other. It gives good light without being overpowering (a real danger in a light fixture that large) and it creates a stunning visual. Every system you can create can be set off and illuminated by the Campfire Big Lamp, creating in the office a clearly marked cluster of collaborative islands and furniture.
What's To Like:
Sometimes it's all about the lighting. Sometimes it's not. In the case of the Campfire Big Lamp, it's about lighting AND space definition. Like a big umbrella on the beach that marks your spot, the Big Lamp helps to define your area within the overall space.
What's Not to Like:
Not a bad thing, but the Big Lamp is BIG. So bear that in mind when assessing your space to see if this lamp is appropriate.
The Bottom Line:
Campfire Big Lamp is a great way to light an entire seating area, workspace, or conference table with diffused lighting.
