With an inversion of materials from what you would expect, the Steelwood Stool achieves a remarkable strength despite the delicacy implied by its beautiful wood legs. Calling their stool "stable and democratic, universal and long-lasting," the Bouroullec brothers combined the warm and deep-rooted qualities of wood with the permanence and strength of steel. We think the resulting bar stool (or counter stool) is one of the most understated and beautiful we've seen.
